演講大綱：
A principal aim in cognitive neuroscience is to understand what intelligence is, and how a system like our brain might be considered to manifest its operation. I will share my journey in this field in the course of trying to figuring out for myself the answers to these questions. These will involve considerations of the neural correlates of perception, memory, self-processing, decision-making, cognitive maps, and how these are modulated by individual differences in aging and cultural trajectories — a distribution of works reflecting perspectives that my colleagues and I have undertaken over the years. This will culminate in our current framework of the brain as a physical system that instantiates a dynamical computational graph of inferences that consumes information and produces survival as output. My lab thus engages this concept in applications to address cognitive aging as a central practical health challenge.
講者簡介：
吳恩賜副教授於美國伊利諾大學厄巴納香檳分校取得心理學博士學位，畢業後赴美國國家老化研究所從事博士後研究，目前任教於國立臺灣大學腦與心智科學研究所，並主持大腦與心智實驗室。研究專長及興趣領域為老化認知神經科學、腦造影、跨文化神經科學與決策歷程，研究關注生物因素與生命經驗如何影響知覺、記憶及高齡者的認知表現。
