講題：Animal models of neurobehavioral disorders

演講大綱：
Our main interest is to use animal models studying the neural basis of psychiatric disorders, aging and neurodegenerative diseases. As a behavioral neuroscience lab, we first observe behavioral phenotype. If any behavioral change is found, we will further investigate the underlying mechanisms and genetic association using different techniques. This talk will introduce our current research projects, including 1) investigating the roles of anti-aging proteins in a sleep deprivation process, 2) examining the effects of antibiotics on brain functions, and 3) studying the effects of medicinal mushroom on cognition.
講者簡介：
顏老師畢業於國立臺灣大學心理學系暨研究所，研究所期間專攻生物心理學。考取教育部公費留學獎學金並取得慕尼黑大學生物學博士學位，曾在杜克-新加坡國立大學醫學院與新加坡國立大學生理學系擔任博士後研究員。目前為本系專任教師。
顏老師的專業領域為行為神經科學，過去的研究主在利用小鼠作為動物模型，研究多種精神疾病與神經退化性疾病的相關表型之神經機制，並尋求可能的治療方法。目前的研究主軸在於了解睡眠障礙在老化與認知退化的過程當中扮演的角色以及腸道菌群失衡對於焦慮行為之影響。
